Howard's TV Presenting
Howard has written and presented six of his own series for Channel 4: Howard Goodall’s Organ Works (1996), Howard Goodall’s Choir Works (1998), Howard Goodall's Big Bangs (2000), Howard Goodall's Great Dates (2002), Howard Goodall's 20th Century Greats (2004) and How Music Works (2006). All have been produced by Tiger Aspect Productions and broadcast on Channel 4 and around the world. They have won many awards, listed here.
In addition to his own series, Howard has presented various music programmes on TV, including the BBC's Choir of the Year competition from 1990 to 2002, Young Musician of the Year and BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year. In December 2004 Howard wrote and presented a South Bank Show, Musical Nation, on the current state of music education in Britain. He has written and presented his own series, Classical Connections, for BBC Radio 2 as well.
In late 2006 Channel 4 and More4 aired his latest series, How Music Works.
