Eternal Light: A Requiem
A performance by the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra conducted by John J Miller (Director of Music Ministries), with Vincent Carr (Associate Organist) on the Organ as part of Cemetery Sunday
This concert, which also includes works by Dvorak, Schubert and York, is intended to be a source of comfort and healing to those mourning the loss of a loved one. The Church gathers not only to pray for the repose of their souls, but to console one another.
Janet McCormack (Office of Family Life, Archdiocese of Newark) will offer a short preconcert lecture: “The Value of Ritual in the Processing of Grief” to the bereaved at 3:20 in the Cathedral Lady Chapel.
