The Selfish Giant
Narrated by Baroness Floella Benjamin of Playschool fame, the concert features wonderful works including Beethoven’s 7th symphony, and extracts from Mozart’s stunning opera Hyacinth and Apollo (written when he was only 13).
A special treat is a world premiere of Howard Goodall’s (EMMY, BRIT and BAFTA Award-winning composer) revised version of Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant with Baroness Benjamin, 100 children from the Island Games Choir, Vic Prep, and JCG.
The concert is directed by Daniel Cohen, the Director of the Deutsche Opera Berlin, and will delight and entertain.
