A News Update in July 2012
Howard has just finished principal shooting at Twickenham Film Studios for his BBC2 series on Howard Goodall’s Story of Music, to be aired in the winterand is now in post-production and writing the accompanying book, to be published by Chatto & Windus.
On June 3rd, Howard’s Rigaudon for a musical barge, The Georgian, which accompanied HM the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee Regatta down the Thames, was performed as part of a 21st century tribute to Handel’s Water Music.
In May, his Rosslyn Psalm to celebrate the completion of the restoration of Rosslyn Chapel was premièred by the National Youth Choir of Scotland. He also completed a new commission, Jubilate Deo forSt George’s,Ascot which had its first performance on 24th March in Eton College Chapel.
His also started a new show on Classic fm, Saturday Night at the Movies (17.00 every Saturday).
