Love Story

Love Story is a ‘chamber musical’ written by Stephen Clark with music by Howard Goodall and lyrics by Stephen Clark and Howard Goodall. It is inspired by Erich Segal’s best-selling novel and subsequent film of the same name.

First performed at the Chichester Festival Theatre (directed by Rachel Kavanaugh) in the summer of 2010, it transferred to the Duchess Theatre in London’s West End in December 2010.  Its USA première – in Philadelphia by the Walnut Street Theatre – took place on 4th September 2012.  Click here to read an introduction to the production and to hear an interview with Howard.  The first review to be published (following the official opening night on 12th September 2012), by Mark Shenton – can be found here.  A short video of the production can be found on the Playbill site here and there is also a video article about the show on the FYI Philly site here.
